Youi
There is a Car and Home insurer by the name of Youi, which tries to develop products for people who are more budget conscious. Youi received regulatory sanction to begin business as of 1 March 2008 from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, (APRA) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. (ASIC)
The Insurance Council of Australia lists Youi as one of its members. The company also works with the insurance industry to educate customers about insurance concerns.
Youi recognizes that a large segment of consumers require online options for their insurance needs and they offer a useful website for people who have a preference for conducting their affairs over the internet. The advantages of this are that Youi spends less on traditional overhead expenses than more traditional insurance companies do.
